Happy Birthday, Easton!

Happy 2nd Birthday to Easton!
The picture above was taken today after our trip to the park. They had a little both where they'd paint the kids faces for free. Love that! I asked Easton what he wanted them to paint him as and he told me an alligator. This is what they came up with. It looked much better when it was first done, but I didn't have my camera. What a cute alligator! They painted a cute little bumblebee on Dylan's face. So fun!

A few pictures to take a trip down memory lane:

Easton as a newborn.
Easton at 5 months old. Dylan at 3 years old.

This kid is the definition of mischief. He has such beautiful sparkling blue eyes...but there is always something brewing there. He is obsessed with flushing the toilet these days and in one of his quiet moments this week (that's when we need to be scared), he was enjoying himself in our master bathroom. We still aren't sure what he flushed down there, but luckily Tim was able to get things flowing there again. He also loves to help himself to whatever he can find in the fridge. That has just started here at our new house - not sure why. His favorite is to go find the yogurt. I think the only big mess we've had is when he poured the pitcher of water out on the floor. Much better than it could have been. I'm definitely looking into getting a fridge lock! There are many other stories...even a handful from today, but that involves a poopy diaper and Easton displaying his new found skill of undressing himself. Yea, I think that is enough of an explanation there...

Easton and Dylan sitting in Grandma and Grandpa Jessop's buggy a few weeks ago.
In the last month he has just taken off in speaking. It is so great to be able to communicate with him and be able to understand what he is staying. He is very patient for the most part to continue to repeat himself until you understand. Given his hyper, impatient temperament (as with most 2 year olds) this is kind of a surprise.
He has a melt your heart smile and gives the sweetest hugs and kisses. He has a never-ending supply of energy and is all boy! What a sweetie! This is a common sight around our house. Easton loves to give "Baby Gagon" kisses on the head:

Here is a bit of a recap of our day celebrating Easton:
He started the day off bright and early...5:45 is MUCH too early for me!
We had pancakes for breakfast with banana eyes and nose and a whipped cream smile. He LOVED the whipped cream and kept asking for more.
He opened up his Buzz Lightyear present from the family and loved playing with him. The rest of the day Dylan kept finding his favorite toys and giving them to Easton for his birthday. How sweet! He even tried to empty our his piggy bank and give his money to Easton. We talked him into keeping it for himself for now. What a sweet big brother!
We went to the park for lunch and fun kid activities. Thursdays are fun around here!
We hit up Artic Circle for dinner (just down the street) and let the boys play in the kids area. Finished off with an ice cream cone.
After a bubble bath and some stories, he's now in bed - hopefully asleep.

Happy Birthday, Easton! We love you!
