4th of July

We had a very busy, fun-filled 4th of July weekend. It has been so much fun to be close to family again to join in on all of the fun activities. We started off the weekend by watching the Logan fireworks with my extended family. It has been a tradition for as long as I can remember to watch the fireworks at my grandparent's house and then camp out in tents in the backyard. We haven't joined in the tradition in years, but loved being there this year. Only Tim and Dylan slept out in the tents with everyone, but Dylan LOVED it! He has been wanting to go camping. Glad this could meet his need.

The next morning a bunch of us went on a 4-wheeler ride up the canyon. We left the two little boys home and just took Dylan with us this time. We would have taken Easton too, but it was nap time and he NEEDED a nap! Below is Justin, Heather and Mary on our ride.
My parents have a mini 4-wheeler that the kids all love. Below is Ashley, Ryan and Easton going for a ride in the backyard. So fun!
A few days later we went to Lewiston to celebrate more 4th of July fun with Tim's extended family. We started off the day with the Lewiston parade. The boys LOVED it. It is the first parade they've been old enough to remember and they enjoyed chasing and collecting all of the candy. They got WAY too much = I've eaten WAY too much!
Grandma Karen and the boys during the parade.
Here is the proof of their candy. Wow! You can barely see Easton's been his is almost as full as Dylan's.
After the parade we walked down to the little carnival. The boys loved the rides and blow-up toys. Dylan smiled the whole time on this ride. Heaven for a little boy as it lifted them high in the air and bounced them up and down!
The boys went down this slide a few times. I only witnessed this last time, but I was told that Easton had loved it the first time and didn't want to get off. It was HUGE!

I had to zoom in on his face. Too funny!
After some lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Jessop's house, we drove up to the Narrows to float the river. I'd never done it, so I was excited. Grandma Karen was sweet to be our taxi and take care of Gavin. Here's a group shot of everyone but Grandpa Rob before we got in. Steph, Kevin, Grandma Karen, Tim, Me, Dylan and Easton.

Our family (minus Gavin).
Dad and Dylan floating the river.

Mom and Easton floating the river. Just after this picture, Easton decided he was done so we climbed out and rode the rest of the way with Grandma. We'd been floating for a good long while before that though. The boys were troopers!
We finished off the night with a weenie roast and smores and Grandma and Grandpa Jessop's. I should have taken a picture of the marshmallows we used for the smores. They were the size of my fist. Mine was pink and made a huge, gooey, pink mess! Yummy!

What a weekend! Happy 4th of July!
